2023 Ruisui Pomelo Export to Japan Departure Press Conference

Ruisui’s premium pomelos have received strong recognition from Japanese importers. On September 22, 2023, the "2023 Ruisui Pomelo Export to Japan Departure Press Conference" was held at the Taichung branch of the Taiwan Provincial Fruit Marketing Cooperative. Attendees included Huang Sheng-Huang, General Secretary of the Ruisui Township Farmers’ Association; Wu Qi-Yuan, President of Japan Ichiban Co., Ltd.; Hong Zhong-Xiu, Chairman of Mitagri; and Yu Zhi-Rong, Chairman of the Taiwan Provincial Fruit Marketing Cooperative, along with General Manager Zeng Yong-Song. Together, they witnessed the inaugural shipment of high-quality pomelos heading to Okinawa, Japan.
This shipment was procured by a trading company from Okinawa through Mitagri. It marks the first time pomelos have been shipped as a full container load directly to Okinawa, breaking the previous focus on the Kanto and Kansai regions. This milestone is especially significant as Mitagri continues the overseas promotion of Ruisui pomelos throughout Japan, aiming to achieve even greater success and increase international visibility for Ruisui pomelos.
