Mitagri hosted the “2023 Taiwan Pear Dietary and Agricultural Education” event at Yung Ping High School in Malaysia on October 27th. The event took place in the school auditorium, with the participation of Ambassador Yeh from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, Acting Chairman Ho Tsung-Jung and Principal Lee Po-Kang of Yung Ping High School, and Chairman Hung Chung-Hsiu of Mitagri. This marked the first time Taiwan held a pear-focused food and agricultural education event at a Malaysian school, introducing and distributing premium Taiwanese pears. The event allowed Malaysian students to learn about Taiwan’s agricultural spirit and personally savor the fruit.
Both Yung Ping High School and Mitagri hope the students will develop a deeper connection with Taiwan. To this end, Mitagri collaborated with Malaysian importers to overcome challenges related to fresh produce quarantine and successfully exported high-quality Taiwanese pears, enabling teachers and students to enjoy Taiwan’s delicious flavors. This initiative aims to root a friendly image of Taiwan in the hearts of the students, with hopes for continued growth. Furthermore, it is anticipated that the relationship between Yung Ping High School and Taiwan will flourish, just like Taiwan’s agricultural spirit.
