Mitagri Co., Ltd. supports Hualien's agricultural development by collaborating with the Ruisui Township Farmers' Association to promote Hualien pomelos. This partnership involves carefully selecting local farmers and enhancing quality control, grading, and packaging. As a result, 4.2 metric tons (700 boxes) of pomelos have been prepared for shipment to the Marshall Islands, scheduled to arrive on September 30th. These pomelos are rich in fiber and nutrients, offering a healthy and delicious taste of Taiwan to the people of the Marshall Islands.
Mitagri Co., Ltd.'s mission is to assist in marketing Taiwanese agricultural products internationally, especially since Hualien has been a disaster area in recent years. The key priority is assisting Hualien’s industries in accessing global markets. Although exporting Hualien pomelos presents a considerable challenge, it is critically important. In addition to the pomelos being shipped to the Marshall Islands, Mitagri is also exporting Hualien pomelos to Japan. Following low-temperature quarantine procedures, these pomelos are scheduled to arrive in Japan in early October. The hard work and dedication of Hualien farmers in cultivating these pomelos for consumers in Japan and other overseas markets connects Hualien's agricultural community with the global marketplace, making all their efforts worthwhile.
